Preuss has announced that he will be leaving Derringer by mid-2018. This decision is due exclusively to plans to relocate to Phoenix Arizona for a business opportunity. Preuss expressed that out of all the things that will be missed about Wisconsin, playing with Derringer is one of the most prominent. He feels blessed to have worked/performed alongside such a talented group of musicians.
The entire band discussed this transition prior to any announcements. Derringer will continue on, and has brought aboard another drummer to pick up where Ben leaves off. Also, Derringer will be playing one last show with their existing line up on June 2 at Knucklehead’s in Eagle, WI. (One last chance to see Derringer with Ben sitting behind the drums – You don’t want to miss this!)
